Managing your data

Policy about children

IREX respects the privacy interests of children and encourages parents or guardians to monitor their children’s online activities and interests. Depending on place of residence, there are different age limits under which individuals are not allowed to set up an online account by themselves. In US and EU this limit is 13 years of age, except Ireland where the limit is 16 years. Children under the required age of consent are not allowed to use the Very Verified online course without a parent or guardian’s permission and supervision. If we learn that we’ve collected personal data from a child under those ages, we will take all necessary steps to delete this data. Parents who believe that IREX may have collected personal data from a child under those ages can submit a request that it be removed to info@veryverified.eu.

Data retention

IREX keeps your personal data for no longer than necessary for the purposes for which this data is collected and processed. The maximum length of time we retain your data is three years after the end of the program (www.veryverified.eu). Upon request that IREX deactivate your account and delete your information, we will follow the process described above, including and without limitation archiving your course data (in a manner and to the extent permitted under applicable law) to serve its mission to enable scientific research on cognitive science and education.
